This item has to be mislabeled. If you're considering this item, I'd suggest choosing one of the other others. Here's why:
When searching for Mucinex, I click on the 100 tablet link. But the image shows 40 tablets. There is no tablet count mentioned in the description. 40 tablets? That makes it $2.25 a day! There are other Mucinex options on Amazon for 61 cents a day. Who knows how many tablets you'll get if you order this one. If this product is truly for 100 tablets, they need to correct the image and add the tablet count to the description.
Guaifenesin is wonderful. Mucinex ads claim that it's the only Guaifenesin approved by the FDA for 600mg/12-hour. I need the 12-hour Mucinex at night - but the 4-hour generic during the day is fine with me (I spend about 15 cents a day on generics).
Amazon's still the best value I've found for either Mucinex or the generic, even when I don't take into consideration savings on shipping, sales tax, and subscription pricing.

I was coerced by marketplace tactics into buying this brand of guaifenesin, but I will not order it from Amazon. My local Target sells bottles of 40 tablets at a far better price-per-tablet. Amazon's price has increased by approximately 75% in the last couple of months. Be aware, buying in bulk is not always the least expensive choice!
The reason I used the phrase "coerced... into buying this brand!" is that the pharmacist who was making an excellant product had to stop making it at a reasonable cost due to Mucinex's patent infringement threats. All Mucinex wanted to do was to corner the market on a medication many must have daily. To the best of my knowledge, Mucinex is currently owned by Rickett-Benkheiser.

I have COPD and Fibromyalgia. Mucinex (guaifenison) keeps my lung mucous loose and also relieves my fibromyalgia pain. If you try it for the fibromyalgia benefits, do not take aspirin as I understand it blocks the action of guaifenison from helping block the pain.
