I had an older speed XL shaver and thought it was a little underpowered. I bought an Arcitec and didn't like it at all. I recently got the new 8240 and love it. I get the closest shave ever. There is nothing I dislike about this one. If I go the weekend without shaving I have no problem cutting through the next Monday morning. Get this one with confidence.

This Shaver is better than the expensive triple and 4 blade expensive blades. I figured I would spend $180.00 a year for the expensive gillette blades. This Razor cost about 89.00 on Amazon, and I will probably not replace it for 5 years, and at today's prices of blades thats a savings of $812.00 on blades not including shave cream. It's worth the price and the comfort.

This is the best shaver I have ever owned. Long battery cycles between charges. Does not pull at all and gives a smooth, close shave. I have somewhat sensitive skin and I have no problems with this Philips Norelco Speed XL 8240XL razor. I highly recommend this shaver to everyone.
