My baby's temperature at the Dr's office was the same as the one taken with Exergen Temporal Thermometer. I love it! Easy to use, doesn't bother baby and my husband and I love to use it on ourselves. Great product.

I was skeptical about this, but since it was on sale, I figured I'd give it a try. You have to read the directions and follow them to a "T" to get accurate results. Some people say it is inaccurate, but I tested my temp over and over to get the hang of it and had no problems getting consistent results. It was within .2 degrees every time, and the same temp that I got from a traditional thermometer. My child's father couldn't get it to read accurately until I took the plastic cap off the top which he didn't notice. As long as you read the directions thoroughly and understand what you are doing, this is a GREAT product. Easy to use on a baby, and good enough to use on the whole family. It is much faster than digital thermometers, just one swipe and you're done!

Before i used it in a true emergency, I decided to try it out. I got an accurate reading every time (well, AFTER I read the instructions). I was able to get an accurate reading on my self (although this was admittedly a little harder), on my 6 year old, and on my 3 year old. No problems if you slowly swipe across the middle of forhead to the side of the temple. I tested the temps against a traditional and ear thermometer and the forehead thermometer was spot on.
In the case of a truly high fever I would probably take more traditional routes and always will have a back up, but for a quick check this worked perfectly!

I am very happy with this product. It is quite different from using a regular thermometer. You may want to practice taking your temp. 1st to make sure you are using the thermometer correctly.
It takes temps quickly and accurately. I would recommend.
